Salesforce Trailblazer Community Group Leader?

Nope, but I help out with the Denver Admin/User Group fairly regularly.

Favorite Salesforce Feature

Probably the navigation customizations in Lightning that were added this year that allow users to move around tabs and pin things that are most useful to them. Followed closely by List Views.

Salesforce’s Biggest Opportunity for Improvement

Continuing to improve on usability for less tech-savvy users. Specifically things like List Views and Reports that most users equate to Excel functionality, but of course there are virtually no restrictions in Excel, it’s like a blank canvas 🙂

Fun Facts about me:

  1. After attending my first tech conference ever last year (#TDX17), I was fortunate to be a PRESENTER this year at Dreamforce!
  2. For the past year I’ve been coordinating Salesforce Saturday events in Denver to provide a forum for current and aspiring Salesforce professionals to network and collaborate. It’s been tremendously rewarding and I’m very thankful for Steph Herrera who started the idea in Austin, TX!
  3. I’m a life-long Green Bay Packers fan and generally love the strategy, teamwork, and sportsmanship of American Football. #GOPACKGO
  4. My wife and I love to travel (provided we can find someone to watch our 3 rescue pups). In the past few years I’ve been able to visit Iceland, Malaysia, Croatia, France, Spain, Mexico, and Aruba. We’re looking forward to visiting Costa Rica in 2019!
  5. I’ve recently gotten back into Disc Golf after not playing at all for about 10 years. Its a tremendous community and a great way to get outdoors and be active! Also, science! 🙂

Most Identifies With This Salesforce Mascot:

#TeamCloudy because who doesn’t love goats?! Also, I’m a Capricorn and I love to support the underdogs (undergoats?). Astro and Codey already have enough fans 😉

Are you a UserGroup Leader?

Yes! Atlanta Salesforce Developer User Group

Favorite Salesforce Feature

REST API. Because I can then use other devices to interface with Salesforce.

Salesforce’s Biggest Opportunity for Improvement

I know its not really a feature per say, but the thing that bugs me the most is that when you go to the customize menu in the setup bar it is not alphabetized and it takes me extra time to find what the heck I am looking for. Why can’t Activities be after Accounts?
