Salesforce’s Biggest Opportunity for Improvement

Given the future of the manufacturing industry and its commitment to IOT, Salesforce has a huge opportunity to provide a platform for capturing tremendous amounts of data and making smart AI driven decisions.

Fun Facts about me:

  1. Between 2013 and 2015, I photographed weddings during the summer
  2. I have saved every cinema ticket stub from my childhood starting with Mrs Doubtfire.
  3. Aside from my passion for Salesforce (and all the swag), I’m an unashamed Apple fan.
  4. In my 13 year career I’ve been a call centre agent, a desktop support engineer, a developer, a project implementation engineer, a project manager and salesforce consultant
  5. I love creative projects including but not limited to glueing/painting models, photoshopping, building Salesforce Lightning apps, blogging and photography.

Most Identifies With This Salesforce Mascot:

My very first piece of Salesforce swag was an Astro plush toy so s/he will always have a place in my heart.

Salesforce Community Group Leader?

Not a Leader, just an attendee. My favourite event so far has been Surf force on the west coast of Ireland and I am looking forward to NewVoiceMedia hosting the Hampshire User Group on 4th July

Favorite Salesforce Feature

For me its a classic – Quick Actions.

To give users the ability to do whatever they need to do from the top of the page whilst still being able to see all the information about their customer was and is a game changer.

I think for experienced Salesforce users its so natural we forget what a big deal it is, but when I am working with people who are new to Salesforce they are amazed by the ease of use and power of the quick actions.

Salesforce’s Biggest Opportunity for Improvement

As a declarative admin, for me, the biggest opportunity for improvement is with Process Builder. It’s something that I use a lot and is incredibly powerful but troubleshooting can be difficult.

Fun Facts about me:

  1. I am teaching myself to cook and when im in the kitchen I am usually listening to podcasts such as the Salesforce Admins Podcast or audio books like Mythos about the classic Greek myths.
  2. Since starting work at NewVoiceMedia 4 years ago I have visited customers in over 20 countries and on 3 continents. Not bad for someone who had never been on a plane before.
  3. I am a big fan of car karaoke and when driving to and from visits to my customers. My playlist currently includes some classic motown, 80’s rock and some modern pop
  4. I collect maps of everywhere I visit, towns and cities around the UK or further afield. I have a map for pretty much every place I havs stayed in.
  5. I have a pet rescue duck who lives amongst the chickens at home.

Most Identifies With This Salesforce Mascot:

Astro. Trailhead is the most amazing learning platform for me personally and for my team. Astro sums up everything about the Salesforce Ohana – adventerous and eager to learn

Favorite Salesforce Feature

Process Builder – You control the sequence of updates than can be performed on an object, unlike workflow!

Salesforce’s Biggest Opportunity for Improvement

It is Marketing Cloud product! Currently, this platform isn’t fully matured but everyone is super keen on it. I think Salesforce can do and will do much better there.

5 Fun Facts about me:

  1. Watches a wide range of movies at home but falls asleep every single time! No exception. If you wanna watch movie with him, bring him to the cinema, never at home!
  2. Enjoys shopping as much as gals do. While men would sulk at one corner or secretly complaint about gals walking tirelessly, he seems to follow the saying, “If you can’t beat them, join them”
  3. Mumbles in his sleep – in English! While English is not his mother tongue.
  4. So adventurous that he did Sky Diving, Para Gliding. A Karate blackbelt holder but utterly scared of lizard, a crawling lizard. Runs out of the house if he finds one in his room. The house is either his or the lizard’s – they both don’t stay together.
  5. Enrolled in a fitness centre with hundreds of fitness classes available but chooses to do treadmill instead.

Most Identifies With This Salesforce Mascot:

Codey, because he loves to code! He builds, he makes, he enjoys. And Codey can give Huge Hugs like no other.
