Salesforce’s Biggest Opportunity for Improvement

Salesforce used to be focused on improving business processes and being THE solution for customers, and lately it seems that Salesforce has been focusing on gaining more clients before providing current customers with the solutions they need. In summary, Salesforce needs to work on being less salesy and more supportive for pre-developers!

Fun Facts about me:

  1. Jessie was born in Japan! It’s not easy being a child of 2 military parents, but she has lived an extraordinary life and experienced many different cultures.
  2. Jessie is an amazing artist that can work with a variety of mediums. From painting to photography to fashion, she has a natural talent to use colors to form vibrant paintings, outfits, and photographic moments.
  3. Natural knack for bringing people together and making lasting memories with celebrations and unique social situations.
  4. Jessie is very athletic and keeps an active lifestyle. Whether she’s traveling across country in her RV or running along the streets of Deep Ellum, she keeps up with her health for mountain biking, surfing, skiing, and just plain ‘ol competitive sports in general. Her natural need to succeed is strong!
  5. Does pineapple belong on pizza? Absol-fruitly it does in Jessie’s opinion. #TeamPineapplePizza

Most Identifies With This Salesforce Mascot:

Codey because he’s the inspirational bear who wants everyone to succeed.

Salesforce User Group Leader?

Faith is co-organizer of the RI Developer group, who teams closely with the RI (Providence) User group for events. The small but growing local Ohanas join forces to learn from MVPs, enjoy TrailheaDX celebrations, and share Astro-nomical love.

Favorite Salesforce Feature

Faith’s overall favorite is automation: helping identify gaps and pain points in clients’ business processes and knowing exactly how Salesforce can come to the rescue. She loves hearing people complain and having an answer how “Salesforce can solve that!”

Salesforce’s Biggest Opportunity for Improvement

Sometimes Salesforce sells ahead of what it can do well. Safe harbor and all, and development did usually catch up, but that can be very frustrating to a client at first.

5 Fun Facts about me:

  1. Has an Australian Cattle Dog “fur baby” who shepherds her around the house constantly.
  2. Mom of one very lovely little baby girl!
  3. Works from home for the best company in the world, GearsCRM. Absolutely LOVES her career and place of business! Grateful to Benioff and Salesforce every day.
  4. Aiming for her CTA. Hopefully in 2018 or 2019!
  5. Relaxes by: gardening, chillin with her amazing husband, playing with her baby, watching sci-fi, knitting, &/or plugging along Trailhead at her BadgeADay pace.

Most Identifies With This Salesforce Mascot:

Codey the bear, because he tends bonzai trees AND knows how to code.

Salesforce User Group Leader?

Co-Leader of Salesforce Developer Group in Singapore for the past 2 years. Actively speaking and organizing events for the group.

Favorite Salesforce Feature

Process Builder – You control the sequence of updates than can be performed on an object, unlike workflow!

Salesforce’s Biggest Opportunity for Improvement

It is Marketing Cloud product! Currently, this platform isn’t fully matured but everyone is super keen on it. I think Salesforce can do and will do much better there.

5 Fun Facts about me:

  1. Watches a wide range of movies at home but falls asleep every single time! No exception. If you wanna watch movie with him, bring him to the cinema, never at home!
  2. Enjoys shopping as much as gals do. While men would sulk at one corner or secretly complaint about gals walking tirelessly, he seems to follow the saying, “If you can’t beat them, join them”
  3. Mumbles in his sleep – in English! While English is not his mother tongue.
  4. So adventurous that he did Sky Diving, Para Gliding. A Karate blackbelt holder but utterly scared of lizard, a crawling lizard. Runs out of the house if he finds one in his room. The house is either his or the lizard’s – they both don’t stay together.
  5. Enrolled in a fitness centre with hundreds of fitness classes available but chooses to do treadmill instead.

Most Identifies With This Salesforce Mascot:

Codey, because he loves to code! He builds, he makes, he enjoys. And Codey can give Huge Hugs like no other.

Well 2017 has been quite busy as am leading a large global implementation right now. I love that you can login anywhere, when I first started working with Salesforce it was the only cloud CRM.

Salesforce’s Biggest Opportunity for Improvement

Some of the email things. I wish that emails sent via workflow were logged like an email sent like a user. Rolling out Salesforce for Outlook can also be easy or bumpy all dependant on user’s machine. I wish this was as easy as some of the stuff on the platform.

Salesforce Goal(s) for 2017
